From July 28 to August 1, 2017,  Gary and Carol (aka Granddad and Mimi), and their children and grandchildren—Darren, Jessica, Maja (13) and Anna (9), and Ryan, Carlin, Finley (11) and Evan (9)—spent four glorious days at Cannon Beach on the Oregon Coast. We stayed next to each other in lovely rentals at the beach (The Waves, and the Sea Sprite at the Estuary.) This was a perfect location for watching birds on Ecola Creek, strolling down the beach to Haystack Rock, fording the creek to play in the ocean waves, driving a short distance to Ecola State Park for great views and more time on the beach and in the waves, building fires for marshmallow roasts and guitar playing and singing at night, eating at yummy restaurants in Cannon Beach or at “home,” and playing a new favorite game called Sushi Go! Oh what fun we had in a very beautiful place!
